Individual Therapy
Therapy is both an art and a science, a craft where we get to know who you are and what you most want. It's deliberate, thoughtful, and intimate work. I approach this work in an multi-faceted way, using elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory. This means we will not only look to lower stress or improve your mood in the short term, but also dig deeper to discover what is driving the worry, fatigue, despair, among many other concerning experiences. We will address the biggest pain points at any given moment and find ways to experience relief, even if incremental.
I also use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to address a wide range of symptoms or concerns associated with overwhelming or traumatic events. This is a powerful, effective, and efficient way to get at all the ways that wounding events can impact our lives on a daily basis.
