EDUCATION & TRAINING
MY PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Prior to my private practice, I worked with individuals and their families in vastly different settings: schools, inpatient psychiatric units, homes, on-sight at employers, as well as assisted living facilities. Throughout these experiences, I learned assessment tools, crisis response, skill-building techniques, and the art of working in a family. Most importantly, I learned to be with someone in their anxiety, grief, confusion, or despair. It has been an honor to be invited into tender and sacred places, and to be changed by the courage and beauty of my clients' journeys.

As a clinician in private practice, I am daily inspired by the tenacity and courage my clients show when facing the effects of common concerns such as:

  • Prior abuse or violence

  • Challenging marital/partnership dynamics

  • Parenting struggles

  • Workplace stress

I use a variety of techniques and modalities to fit the person in front of me - my clients are the directors of their work and it is my task to create the particular set of tools and resources that shore up their places of vulnerability and deepen their existing strengths.
